Klucki Las

The autumn landscape on the path in Klucki Las. The path in Klucki Las (eco-cultural, 5 km, 2,5 hours) passes in the areas of strict and active protection. Its starting point is situated near the forester's lodge in Kluki, however, its finish is placed not far away from the entry gate to "Klucki Las". It is as-signed, first of all, for the groups of students and secondary school pupils. During the field classes, selected forest accumulations of the SNP (a wood and swamp birch, alder swamp, relict beech-tree and oak forest) are presented. Some species of protected plants are discussed (cloudberry, cross-leaved heath, club moss - Lycopodium annotinum), as well as the characteristics and comparisons of peat-bog types and the influence of Slovinians' ancient economic activity on the area of Klucki Las. From the wooden tower on the forest edge and the reeds accumulations on the Łebsko Lake, with a little bit of luck, one can notice rooting wild boars, grazing flocks of roe-deer and stags, and sometimes a hunting white-tailed eagle. Path sightseeing in an organised group is only possible with the employee of the Park after prior term reservation.
Before entering the route, the Museum of Slovinian Village in Kluki as well as the monumental Slovinians' cemetery are worth visiting.
